ANKARA -- The Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) killed a senior member of the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) in northern Syria, Türkiye's Anadolu news agency reported Thursday.

TEHRAN -- A bus veered off course and crashed after an explosion and fire on board early Thursday, killing an infant and injuring nine others in western Iran, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported.

The explosion occurred at 04:00 a.m. local time (0030 GMT) as the bus was traveling through the Asadabad mountain pass near Bahar County in the western province of Hamedan, the Tasnim quoted Hassan Khanjani, the province's prosecutor, as saying. (Iran-Bus Accident-Casualty)

DOHA -- The Chairman of Sudan's Transitional Sovereign Council and General Commander of the Sudanese Armed Forces Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan on Thursday wrapped up his one-day official visit to Qatar, during which he discussed with the Qatari Emir Sudan's situation, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

BEIRUT -- Armed clashes broke out Thursday evening in Ain Al-Helweh Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon between members of the Fatah Movement and Islamic militants, local news website Lebanon 24 reported.

Islamic militants carried out a surprise attack on the Fatah Movement centers in the Al-Barakasat neighborhood, the report said, adding the shells hit the city of Sidon. (Lebanon-Palestinian Refugee Camp-Clash)
