RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- Former Real Madrid forward Jese Rodriguez has reached an agreement to join Brazil's Coritiba after parting ways with Sampdoria.

The 30-year-old will arrive as a free agent after his contract with the Italian club expired in June.

"The two-time Champions League winner for Real Madrid, Jese Rodriguez, has signed a pre-contract with Coritiba," the club from southern Brazil said on social media.

Coritiba did not immediately disclose the length of the contract, nor did it say when Rodriguez would be ready to make his debut for the club.

Local media reported that the deal was still subject to a medical and said the left winger had agreed in principle to a contract that initially runs until December.

Rodriguez made 94 first-team appearances for Real Madrid from 2011 to 2016, scoring 189 goals and providing 15 assists.

He has since had spells at Paris Saint-Germain, Las Palmas, Stoke City, Real Betis, Sporting Lisbon, Ankaragucu and Sampdoria.

Coritiba are currently last in Brazil's 20-team Serie A standings with just three wins from 21 games. Enditem
