ISLAMABAD -- The Pakistani police killed five terrorists during an operation in southwest Balochistan province, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) officials said.

BAMAKO -- At least 49 civilians and 15 soldiers were killed Thursday during a dual terrorist attack in northern Mali, the Malian government said in a statement.

NAIROBI -- At least 12 people were killed and three others injured Thursday following a road accident along the busy Nairobi-Mombasa highway, the police said.
