COLOMBO, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka's state-owned petroleum importer and distributor, Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, is taking steps to implement a daily automated price revising system for next year, a minister said on Wednesday.
Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera said the issue was discussed at a meeting held in the presence of himself, the corporation's dealers' association and officials.
The minister said dealer margins, fuel distribution, and the establishment of new fuel stations were also discussed.
The corporation has suffered from serious losses in the last few years. Since 2022, the South Asian country has taken steps to ensure that the corporation sells fuel at a price that reflects market realities. Enditem
