SEOUL, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Five domestic and foreign automakers in South Korea will voluntarily recall some 12,880 vehicles for manufacturing defects, the country's transport ministry said Wednesday.

Mercedes-Benz Korea will recall 9,620 units of 11 models including E 230 4MATIC for faulty parts in fuel pump, and 650 units of six models such as S 580 4MATIC for the poor fixing of connection bolts in 12V ground wire, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

Scania Korea Group will recall 1,287 units of two models for non-compliance with safety standards affected by poor lighting of the light system.

Hyundai Motor will recall 835 units of Palisade due to sensor software error in passenger seat and 90 units of new County for non-compliance with safety standards of seat belts.

BMW Korea will recall 48 units of four models including Z4 sDrive20i for non-compliance with safety standards of the receiver audio module and five units of iX1 xDrive30 due to the poor assembly of drive shaft.

Bike Korea will recall 346 units of two models including Trident 660 for faulty hose in the sensor measuring inlet air volume.

Vehicles owners can visit repair and service centers to replace the faulty parts free of charge. Enditem
