JERUSALEM, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Israeli basketball Super League club Hapoel Afula signed former NBA player Cassius Stanley, according to a statement released by the club on Thursday.

The 24-year-old shooting guard played college basketball at Duke where he was selected to the ACC All-Freshman Team.

He was then selected in the 2020 NBA draft with the 54th overall pick by the Indiana Pacers.

In his two seasons in the NBA, Stanley played a total of 33 games in Indiana and the Detroit Pistons, in which he averaged 2.7 points, 0.2 assists and 1.2 rebounds in 7.5 minutes per game.

He recently played for the NBA G League team Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Afula will be his first team outside of the United States.

"I intend to contribute to Afula on both sides of the court, create winning moves, and be competitive in the Israeli league," Stanley said. Enditem
