RAMALLAH -- Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian man on Friday during clashes in the West Bank village of Kafr Dan, Palestinian Health Ministry said in a statement.

Abdullah Abu Al-Hassan was shot in the stomach by Israeli forces during clashes in the village west of Jenin city, the Ramallah-based ministry said. (Israel-Killing-Palestinian)

ANKARA -- Türkiye's security forces have "neutralized" 12 members of the Syrian Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) in northern Syria and a senior member of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq, Turkish authorities said Friday.

The YPG members were "neutralized" as they were preparing for an attack in the "Operation Euphrates Shield" and "Operation Olive Branch" zones of the Turkish army in northern Syria, the Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement. (Türkiye-Syria-Iraq-Kurdish Militants)

BEIRUT -- Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Friday condemned what he described as an "attack on the American embassy," nearly two days after a gunman fired shots towards the mission's entrance.

"We express our absolute rejection of attacks on diplomatic missions, and we consider the attack on the American embassy an attack on Lebanon's sovereignty and security," a statement released by the Lebanese Council of Ministers quoted Mikati as saying during his meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy Shea. TUNIS -- Tunisian President Kais Saied signed a presidential decree dividing the country into five regions, said the official Journal of the Republic of Tunisia (JORT) on Friday.

The division came within the new political organization included in the new Tunisian Constitution ratified in 2022, and also comes in preparation for the establishment of the National Council of Provinces and Regions, which was stipulated in the Constitution.
