MADRID, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid faces a pressing issue ahead of their home game against Las Palmas on Wednesday night.

Their 3-1 loss to Atletico Madrid on Sunday not only halted their perfect start to the season but also spotlighted a significant defensive concern for Carlo Ancelotti's side. Atletico took a 2-0 lead within 14 minutes, thanks to headers from Alvaro Morata and Antoine Griezmann. This means that out of the six goals Real Madrid has conceded this season, five have been in the first 20 minutes.

Early goals have also been a problem against Almeria, Getafe, and Real Sociedad. Although Madrid managed to rally and win those matches, this recurring issue needs attention.

For the Las Palmas match, Ancelotti is expected to make several changes. Ferland Mendy, Nacho, Aurelian Tchouameni, and Joselu are all slated to start. There's also a possibility that Vinicius Jr, recovering from a muscle injury, might be on the substitutes' bench.

Las Palmas, having secured five points from six games since their return to the top-flight, have been defensively solid, conceding only four goals.

In other Wednesday fixtures, fourth-placed Athletic Club will host Getafe in what promises to be a tightly contested match. Athletic's key midfielder, Inigo Ruiz de Galarreta, is out with a calf injury, but winger Nico Williams might be fit enough to be among the substitutes.

Second-placed Girona, boasting 16 goals in six games, will play at home against a Villarreal team that seems to be on the upswing since Pacheta took over from Quique Setien.

Valencia's youthful squad will face Real Sociedad, testing Valencia's progress since the emergence of players like Pepelu, Javi Guerra, Fran Perez, and Diego Lopez.

The day's concluding match features Cadiz hosting Rayo Vallecano, who currently hold the seventh spot in the league table. Enditem
