HANOI, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- Outperforming 17 other finalists at Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City on Friday night, Bui Quynh Hoa, a 25-year-old model from Hanoi, became the beauty contest's winner.

The model won a crown worth 2.1 billion Vietnamese dong (nearly 89,000 U.S. dollars) and the right to represent Vietnam to attend Miss Universe 2023 slated for November in El Salvador, Vietnam News Agency reported on Saturday.

Miss Universe Vietnam is Vietnam's national beauty pageant held every two years starting in 2008. Enditem
