NEW DELHI -- India's foreign exchange reserves fell by 2.335 billion U.S. dollars to 590.7 billion dollars during the week ending Sept. 22, according to the latest data released by the central bank, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

That was the lowest foreign reserves in the past four months. It was also the third consecutive week that India's forex reserves had declined. (India-Forex Reserves)

SYDNEY -- A concert featuring traditional Chinese folk music has been held at Sydney Town Hall to celebrate the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.

TOKYO -- The Japanese government plans to ask the Tokyo District Court to order the dissolution of Unification Church, a controversial religious group, according to local media reports.

The move followed a months-long probe by the Cultural Affairs Agency into the group over allegations of soliciting financially ruinous donations from members and other questionable practices, the national news agency Kyodo reported on Saturday, citing a government source. COLOMBO -- Mohamed Muizzu, candidate of the coalition of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) and People's National Congress (PNC), emerged as the winner in the runoff presidential election in the Maldives on Saturday, according to preliminary results compiled by local media.
