NEW DELHI -- India's foreign exchange reserves fell by 2.335 billion U.S. dollars to 590.7 billion dollars during the week ending Sept. 22, according to the latest data released by the central bank, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

That was the lowest foreign reserves in the past four months. It was also the third consecutive week that India's forex reserves had declined. (India-Forex Reserves)

TOKYO -- The Japanese government plans to ask the Tokyo District Court to order the dissolution of Unification Church, a controversial religious group, according to local media reports.

COLOMBO -- Mohamed Muizzu, candidate of the coalition of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) and People's National Congress (PNC), emerged as the winner in the runoff presidential election in the Maldives on Saturday, according to preliminary results compiled by local media.
