RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- German Cano scored one goal and set up another as Fluminense recovered from a goal down on Wednesday to secure a 2-1 victory over Brazilian rivals Internacional and advance to the Copa Libertadores final.

Gabriel Mercado put the hosts ahead in the semifinal second leg with an early header after Alan Patrick's corner at the Beira-Rio stadium in Porto Alegre.

Kennedy provided the Rio de Janeiro outfit with a flicker of hope when he combined with Cano to equalize nine minutes from time.

The Argentine striker then gave his team the lead by sweeping home a first-time effort after Yony Gonzalez's cross.

Cano, 35, has now scored 12 goals in 11 games this Copa Libertadores campaign.

The result gave Fluminense a 4-3 win on aggregate after the sides drew 2-2 in last week's first leg at Rio de Janeiro's Maracana stadium.

Fluminense will play either Palmeiras or Boca Juniors in the final of South America's top club competition at the Maracana on November 4. Enditem
