PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia's GDP per capita is forecast to hit 2,071 U.S. dollars in 2024, up from some 1,917 dollars in 2023, said a report from the Ministry of Economy and Finance on Saturday.

Thanks to garment exports, tourism, construction, and agriculture, the kingdom's economy is predicted to grow 6.6 percent next year, up from around 5.6 percent this year, the report said. (Cambodia-GDP)

HONG KONG -- John Lee, chief executive of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), said on Saturday that he hopes all sectors of the community will continue to vigorously promote the Constitution and the Basic Law of the HKSAR, and work together for the steady and long-term implementation of "one country, two systems."

ISLAMABAD -- The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) in Pakistan has opened a renminbi (RMB) clearing bank, facilitating both Pakistani and Chinese businesses and financial institutions to settle cross-border transactions and meet the financing needs of the two countries.
