GENEVA, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- The International Ski Federation (FIS) announced Friday two candidates are bidding to host the inaugural FIS Games in 2028.

St. Moritz/Engadine of Switzerland and Lillehammer/Hafjell of Norway are the two confirmed candidates for the FIS Games, which will feature multiple FIS disciplines in 16 days.

Six Olympic disciplines - Alpine skiing, freestyle skiing, Nordic combined, cross-country skiing, ski jumping and snowboard - and non-Olympic sports such as telemark, speed skiing and freeride are planned to be competed at the FIS Games. Para snow sports competitions are also on the schedule.

St. Moritz hosted the FIS Alpine World Ski Championship in 2017 and Lillehammer is the host city of Olympic Winter Games in 1994. Enditem
