YANGON, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and three others injured when a ship docked behind a steel factory in Insein township in Yangon caught fire, an official from a rescue organization said on Sunday.

After the fire was extinguished on the double-deck ship carrying cement, two dead bodies were found inside the ship's oil storage tank, U Thurein Tun told Xinhua, adding that 15 rescue organizations came to the scene for rescue operations.

The number of casualties in the ship fire was still under investigation, an official from the Insein Township Fire Services Department told Xinhua.

The fire was caused by an explosion of the oil storage tank during welding. Enditem
