BAGHDAD -- Eight members of the Iraqi paramilitary Hashd Shaabi forces were killed and four others were wounded on Wednesday by U.S. airstrikes near the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

A statement by the Hashd Shaabi said that at 2:30 a.m. (2330 GMT on Tuesday), the U.S. aircraft attacked positions of the Hashd Shaabi forces in the Jurf al-Nasr area, south of Baghdad, leaving eight of its fighters killed and wounding four others. (Iraq-Paramilitary-US Strikes)

RAMALLAH -- Seven Palestinians were killed in Israeli raids in the northern West Bank on Wednesday, said the Palestinian health ministry.

YAOUNDE -- At least three civilians were killed after Boko Haram raided two communities in Cameroon's Far North region, security and local sources said Wednesday.

Militants of the terror group ambushed two motorcyclists who were riding along a dusty road in the Djourou locality of the region Tuesday, killing them before absconding with their motorcycles, a security source familiar with the attack said.
