GAZA -- The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, released on Sunday the third batch of hostages from the Gaza Strip under a temporary cease-fire agreement with Israel.

GAZA/JERUSALEM -- Mediation efforts have been intensified to extend the current Israel-Hamas humanitarian cease-fire, Palestinian sources said on Sunday.

ADEN, Yemen -- Unknown attackers suspected of belonging to the Yemeni Houthi militia seized a commercial oil tanker off the coast of Aden on Sunday, a Coast Guard official told Xinhua.
The Yemeni official, who asked to remain anonymous, said a Liberian-flagged ship, owned by an Israeli company, was intercepted by suspected Houthi militants aboard fishing boats 50 nautical miles off the coast of Aden earlier this morning. (Yemen-Israeli-linked Oil Tanker-Seizure)

DAMASCUS -- Four pro-government fighters were killed and 18 others injured on Sunday due to the explosion of a landmine planted by the Islamic State in the eastern Syrian province of Deir al-Zour, a war monitor reported.
