MANILA -- The death toll in the 7.4-magnitude earthquake that hit the southern Philippine Surigao province last Saturday has climbed to three, the government said Wednesday.

In a latest report, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said one died in a region in the northeastern part of Mindanao island, and two others in the southeastern part of the island. (Philippines-Earthquake-Deaths)

TOKYO -- Japan's Committee on National Space Policy has decided to delay the country's planned launch of a Martian moon probe by two years to 2026.

BANGKOK -- Thailand has taken a significant step towards becoming a regional hub for electric vehicle (EV) development with the establishment of the China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC) in Bangkok.

MANILA -- Local officials on Wednesday revised the death toll of a passenger bus accident that occurred Tuesday afternoon in central Philippines's Antique province to 17, down from 29 previously reported.
