HANGZHOU, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Tianjin Bohai Bank of China will face four-time winner VakifBank Spor Kulubu in the semifinals of the FIVB Women's Club World Championship after losing to Türkiye's Eczacibasi Dynavit Istanbul 25-17, 25-23, 25-19 here on Friday.
Eczacibasi's captain Tijana Boskovic was on fire as she slammed 18 kills and grabbed a game-high 22 points. China's spiker Wang Yizhu and Li Yingying had 12 points each.
Also on Friday, Türkiye's VakifBank Spor Kulubu produced a dominant performance against Dentil Praia Clube of Uberlandia from Brazil, triumphing 25-16, 25-14, 25-19.
VakifBank's opposite Jordan Thompson earned a match-high 18 points, while Dentil Praia's opposite Tainara Lemes Santos added 17 points.
"I feel good that our team played stable, we fought a lot, and we blocked the defense pretty well," said VakifBank head coach Giovanni Guidetti.
