SEOUL -- At least 18 people were taken to hospitals Sunday night in a hotel fire that broke out in South Korea's western port city of Incheon, according to Yonhap news agency.

The fire began at about 9:01 p.m. local time (1201 GMT) from the parking lot of the hotel with three stories below and 18 stories above ground in Incheon. (South Korea-Hotel Fire)

RAMALLAH -- Five Palestinians were killed in Israeli raids in the northern West Bank city of Tulkarm on Sunday, said the Palestinian Health Ministry.

In an official statement, the ministry reported that five individuals, who had been admitted to Thabet Governmental Hospital in the city from the Nour Shams refugee camp, succumbed to injuries sustained from the attack by an Israeli warplane. (Israel-Palestine-Conflict-West Bank)

BEIRUT -- The Lebanese army announced on Sunday that it has rescued 51 people attempting an illegal sea escape from a sinking boat near the northern city of Tripoli.

JOHANNESBURG -- Nine people were shot dead and eight others injured while they were drinking liquor Saturday night outside Rustenburg, North West Province of South Africa, local police said Sunday.
