NEW DELHI -- Restrictions on movement of vehicles and construction activities were once again imposed in Delhi on Saturday in view of rising air pollution levels.

The state's Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that air quality index (AQI) in the national capital had entered into "Severe" category, restrictions on movement of traffic and construction activities were hence imposed. (India-Air Pollution)

SYDNEY -- Violent thunderstorms will likely hit eastern Australia during this year's Christmas period due to an unusual weather pattern, the Australian ABC News broadcaster reported on Saturday.

The spell of explosive thunderstorms will occur because polar air currently escaping from Antarctica will drift directly over southeast states from Christmas Eve to Boxing Day, or from Sunday to Tuesday, the report said. (Australia-Storms)

NEW DELHI -- A drone attack hit a ship off India's coast in the Arabian Sea Saturday, local media reports said.

According to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), the attack caused an explosion and fire on the merchant ship. However, no casualties have been reported. (India-Drone Attack-Ship)

NEW DELHI -- Indian security forces on Saturday killed four armed rebels of the Naxals group in the central state of Chhattisgarh, an official source said.
