ISLAMABAD -- Pakistani security forces killed five terrorists during an operation in the country's northwest tribal district of North Waziristan, said the military on Saturday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani military, said in a statement that the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, a district in the northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. LONDON -- Two men have been killed while two others were seriously injured in a house fire in Croydon, a town in south London, police said on Saturday.
The blaze occurred at around 11 p.m. local time on Friday, United Kingdom's Metropolitan Police (Met) said.

JERUSALEM/GAZA -- The Israeli ground troops, backed by aircraft, have killed dozens of "terrorists" during operations in Gaza City over the past day, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Saturday morning.
In a statement, the IDF said the air forces, directed by ground troops, struck more than 15 armed militants in Gaza City within three hours. Additionally, fierce battles were going on, and more Hamas militants were killed.

BRAZZAVILLE -- At least 17 people were killed and more than 320,000 people were affected by flooding induced by torrential rains in recent weeks in the Republic of the Congo, said Prime Minister Anatole Collinet Makosso via a statement released late Friday.
