CARACAS, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- A total of 207 Venezuelan repatriates from Mexico arrived Saturday in Venezuela through a special air operation of the Venezuelan Return to the Homeland Plan.
Their arrival was a direct result of migratory agreements reached between Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
Venezuelan Minister of Transportation Ramon Velasquez Araguayan said that the flight from Mexico was conducted by the Venezuelan state airline Conviasa.
Meanwhile, the Venezuelan Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations and Justice registered their identities and offered state assistance to them at the Simon Bolivar International Airport.
"These nationals are being attended to by officials of the Integral Attention Command, which is verifying their identity and providing corresponding medical assistance to guarantee their DDHH (human rights)," the ministry posted on its X account.
More than 340,000 Venezuelans have been repatriated from various countries in the region, said the foreign ministry. Enditem
