KABUL, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- The death toll of a blast that ripped through a mini-bus in the Afghan capital Kabul city on Saturday has risen to five, a local television channel Tolonews reported Monday.
Citing security sources, the media outlet reported that five people were killed and 15 others injured in the terrorist attack that happened in Dasht-i-Barchi area of Kabul city on Saturday evening.
Earlier, Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran counted two dead and 14 others injured in the blast, all civilians.
The Islamic State (IS) has reportedly claimed responsibility for the blast.
In the meantime, the Afghan caretaker government chief spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid asserted recently that the administration has smashed the hideouts of the IS group and the security forces have been chasing the remaining 70 to 80 operatives of the terror outfit. Enditem
