ROME, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- AC Milan claimed its fourth consecutive win in Serie A with a 3-2 victory over Udinese on Saturday, while Roma edged Hellas Verona 2-1 in Daniele De Rossi's debut as coach.

The Rossoneri was seemingly back on track, coming off a 3-1 win against Roma last week, while Udinese had a miserable run this season as it just managed two wins in the league, but one of them was a 1-0 away win against AC Milan.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek put Milan ahead in the 31st minute when Theo Hernandez ran down the left and pulled back for the former Chelsea man to finish with a low-strike.

The home side got back on level terms before the break when Lazar Samardzic shook off the defender to fire home, while Milan's howler allowed Florian Thauvin to turn around the game in the 62nd minute.

The away side equalized in the 83rd minute when Olivier Giroud's attempt bounced off the bar, and Luka Jovic bombed forward to head the loose ball in.

Milan grabbed the last-gasp winner as Giroud nodded a corner for Noah Okafor to poke it into the net.

With the win, Milan cemented its third place with 45 points, four points behind Juventus who visits Lecce on Sunday.

Roma's defeat against Milan was the straw that broke the camel's back for Jose Mourinho as the Portuguese stepped down after two years and a half, with former captain De Rossi taking over the coaching spot.

Romelu Lukaku and Lorenzo Pellegrini's strikes in a matter of six minutes put the Giallorossi firmly in charge at halftime, before they survived from a penalty scare as Milan Djuric blasted it over.

Michael Folorunsho got one back for Verona, but it was not enough to turn around the game. Enditem
