The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported that a villager was missing in floods and landslides due to heavy rains that started at dawn on Monday in the region's three provinces.

The agency said that six people were also injured.

More than 12,000 of the affected people were staying in the government's temporary shelters, the agency added.

On Friday, the state weather bureau said more rains were expected in parts of Mindanao island in the country's south in the next 24 hours, warning of more floods and rain-induced landslides. Enditem
