BERLIN, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- Harry Kane was full of admiration when talking about Thomas Muller's 500th win for Bayern Munich.

"500 victories in one club's shirt, that's remarkable. He is a very special footballer," said the England captain and Muller's club teammate.

For Muller, awards and record-setting achievements seem to have become a daily routine.

Beating Borussia Monchengladbach not only secured three important points ahead of a vital Bundesliga clash with leaders Bayer Leverkusen next Saturday, but also gave proof of the Bayern striker's exceptional position in German football.

A speech in the locker room followed in addition to Bayern's gift in the form of a framed shirt.

"Well, it's nice of course, but I don't know if I take it home. I hope our club museum still has space to take it," Muller said, adding, "There is nothing better than the feeling of having won a game. But now we are thinking of the duel against Leverkusen."

Muller's achievements included being the most successful Bayern player (500 wins in 690 games) and having collected the most Bundesliga titles (12) and a record-setting 33 trophies.

"I love to win," Muller said, while the two-time UEFA Champions League winner wasn't only talking about football.

In a recent internal golf competition together with Kane, Muller celebrated two birdies like another important trophy.

"We love him, but I just felt it is important to show him who is delivering the music," the Bayern attacker said with laughter.

"I still want to play in every game," Muller said, adding that it is still "burning" inside him.

The club legend has recently extended his contract until 2025.

Muller has made no secret out of his plans to stay in his Bavarian homeland, as he is running a horse stable together with his wife, a dressage rider.

"I just want to help to keep this club successful," he said while hoping to be part of the Germany squad for UEFA Euro 2024.

"I am sure I can add some flavor to our national team," he said. Enditem
