BRAZZAVILLE, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- The President of Togo Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe arrived in Brazzaville, the capital of Congo, Tuesday afternoon for a friendly and working visit, according to a source close to Congo's presidency.
President Gnassingbe was welcomed at Maya-Maya Airport by his Congolese counterpart Denis Sassou N'Guesso.
The two heads of state will hold a one-on-one meeting, focusing on bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Congo and Togo, as well as security issues on the continent and globally.
The duration of President Gnassingbe's visit to Brazzaville has not been specified.
The two countries have maintained friendly relations for decades. Congo is home to many Togolese nationals, active in small-scale trade, particularly in the cities of Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire. Enditem
