LIBREVILLE, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Experts from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Thursday expressed satisfaction with the efforts made by Gabon's transitional authorities in managing public finances.

The IMF delegation, led by Director for Africa Vitaliy Kramarenco, has been on a working mission in Libreville, the capital of Gabon, since Jan. 4.

On Thursday, the delegation held a working session with Minister of Public Accounts Charles M'ba.

"The IMF encourages the Gabonese government to intensify this pace to regain its economic and financial balance and stability," Kramarenco, the IMF delegation head, said.

IMF experts have been engaging in working sessions with various Gabonese authorities since early January, focusing on the economic and financial situation of Gabon, a small oil-rich country in Central Africa. Enditem
