YANGON, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar earned over 7.82 billion U.S. dollars from the manufactured goods export from April. 1 to Feb. 9 of the current fiscal year 2023-24, according to the Ministry of Commerce on Friday.
During the cited period, the country's manufactured goods export earned over 2.8 billion dollars from the government sector and over 4.9 billion dollars from the private sector.
The ministry's figures indicate that manufactured goods export earnings were down compared to over 9.7 billion dollars recorded in the corresponding period last year.
Among the country's export products, manufactured goods export generates the most revenue, followed by agriculture products and fishery products.
As of Feb. 9 of this fiscal year, Myanmar has earned over 12.477 billion dollars from the country's total exports.
Myanmar mainly exports agricultural, animal and marine products, minerals, forest products and manufactured goods to its foreign trade partners, including China, Thailand, Bangladesh and India, according to the ministry. Enditem
