BELGRADE, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- A concert featuring traditional Chinese music in Belgrade on Monday marked the end of Chinese New Year celebrations in Serbia.

The concert by the China National Traditional Orchestra featured solo performances, chamber music and ensemble pieces played on Chinese musical instruments such as Guqin, Guzheng.

Speaking highly of the performances, Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Ming said music can transcend borders and cultural barriers, serving as a bridge to promote mutual understanding between nations.

Over the past 10 days, Chinese New Year celebrations were held in several Serbian cities, symbolizing cultural exchanges, solid friendship and cooperation between the two countries, said Miodrag Ivanovic, state secretary of Serbia's Ministry of Culture. Enditem
