GAZA -- At least 12 Palestinians were killed on Tuesday during an Israeli attack on a residential square in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian medical sources.

The medical sources told Xinhua that "the Palestinian civil defense crews transported 12 bodies of Palestinians and dozens of wounded after targeting several homes in the Nuseirat camp, which was crowded with displaced people." (Gaza-Israeli Attacks-Casualty)

TUNIS -- Eight people were killed and four others injured in a car collision in Tunisia on Tuesday, private radio station Mosaique FM reported.

The traffic accident occurred on the main road linking the southeastern province of Gabes and the southwestern province of Kebili in the evening, when a long-time driving taxi collided with a heavy truck transporting cleaning products. (Tunisia-Fatal Car Collision)

SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi group warned the European Union (EU) not to join the coalition of the United States and Britain in the Red Sea, otherwise its ships would be targeted, Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported on Tuesday.

"A message to the EU, don't play with fire and take a lesson from Britain," the television cited a statement from Houthi leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi in reference to his group's recent missile attacks against British-registered cargo vessels, including an oil tanker that caught on fire in the southern Red Sea two weeks ago. GAZA -- Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on Tuesday arrived in Cairo to hold talks with Egyptian officials on the Gaza truce.
