HANOI, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- The Vietnam Stock Exchange reported revenue of over 1.92 trillion Vietnamese dong (78.26 million U.S dollars) in 2023, down nearly 44 percent compared to the previous year, local media reported Thursday.

The Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange and the Hanoi Stock Exchange contributed over 1.39 trillion dong (56.5 million dollars) and nearly 462 billion dong (18.8 million dollars) respectively.

The Vietnam Stock Exchang's expenses in 2023 totaled 26.7 billion dong (1.08 million dollars), falling by over 96 percent compared to the previous year, helping its after-tax profit last year decrease by only nearly 10 percent compared to 2022 to over 1.88 trillion dong (76.6 million dollars).

According to the Ministry of Finance, the market capitalization of Vietnam's stock market approximated 6 quadrillion dong (246.7 billion dollars) in 2023, according to Vietnam News Agency. Enditem
