WELLINGTON -- New Zealand and Australia's top finance officials met on Thursday to discuss ways to lower business costs and increase the ease with which businesses and people can operate across the Tasman.

"We agreed the Single Economic Market is the best model for close integration of two sovereign independent countries anywhere in the world, and we need to keep it that way," New Zealand's Finance Minister Nicola Willis said in a statement after meeting with Australian Treasurer Jim Chalmers in Australia. YANGON -- Myanmar's police have arrested four suspects for a series of motorbike robberies in central Myanmar's Mandalay, the state-run newspaper The Mirror Daily reported on Thursday.

HANOI -- Vietnam needs 5,000 to 10,000 chip design engineers each year, but its human resource supply capacity is only less than 20 percent, Vietnam News Agency reported Thursday, citing the national science and technology portal.

TOKYO -- Train services on Japan's JR Yokosuka line between Tokyo and Yokohama stations were suspended on Thursday due to fallen objects in a tunnel.
