LOS ANGELES -- U.S. company Intuitive Machines' first lunar lander touched down on the moon Thursday, marking the first American spacecraft to land on the lunar surface in more than 50 years.
The uncrewed lander, named Odysseus, landed at the lunar South Pole at 6:23 p.m. Eastern Time, according to NASA.

BRUSSELS -- The European Union's (EU) new anti-money laundering agency (AMLA) will be based in Frankfurt, representatives from the EU member states and the European Parliament agreed on Thursday in Brussels.
As the centerpiece of the reform of the EU's anti-money laundering framework, AMLA will "have direct and indirect supervisory powers over obliged entities and the power to impose sanctions and measures," the European Council said in a press release. (EU,Frankfurt,European Parliament)

JENIN -- The commander of Palestinian militant group Jenin Brigades, Yasser Hanoun, was killed after an Israeli airstrike hit his car in the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank, Palestinian eyewitnesses and medical sources said on Thursday.
Eyewitnesses told Xinhua that an Israeli reconnaissance aircraft bombed the car carrying Hanoun on the street in the Jenin camp, destroying the car and setting it on fire. The attack also injured 15 others.(West Bank-Palestinian Commander-Death)

SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi group said on Thursday it had launched attacks on an Israeli city, a British cargo ship, and a U.S. warship, in what it called a response to the "American-British aggression" against Yemen and its support of the Palestinians in Gaza.
