JOHANNESBURG -- Eight people were killed and scores of others injured after a bus they were riding in overturned Saturday near Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa, authorities said Sunday.

TOKYO -- A convenience store employee died after a man stabbed him and two other co-workers in Sapporo in the northernmost Japanese prefecture of Hokkaido on Sunday, local media reported.

MEXICO CITY -- At least nine people died and six others were injured on Saturday after a van rear-ended a moving trailer container in the Mexican state of San Luis Potosi.

PHNOM PENH -- The ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP) won a sweeping victory in the fifth election for the Senate, or the upper house, on Sunday, a party's spokesperson said.
