MOSCOW, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Russia's TASS news agency reported Wednesday that a Russian FPV (First Person View) drone named "Piranha" had destroyed the first U.S.-made Abrams tank in Ukraine.

TASS said a representative from the Simbirsk Design Bureau "Piranha" in western Russia's Ulyanovsk city reported the incident to TASS.

The representative received the information from a client who corresponded with the battalion commander of the crew that struck the tank, according to TASS.

"They confirmed that it was our Piranha. Subsequently, this information was reported in the news and shared on Telegram channels, along with footage of the burning Abrams," the representative said.

There was no immediate response from Ukraine or the United States. Enditem
