BUENOS AIRES, March 1 (Xinhua) -- Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni has named four teenagers in his squad for friendlies against El Salvador and Costa Rica later this month.
18-year-old playmaker Valentin Carboni was included, as were 19-year-olds Alejandro Garnacho, Facundo Buonanotte and Valentin Barco.
Headed by eight-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi, the 26-man squad also includes veteran winger Angel Di Maria and forwards Lautaro Martinez, Julian Alvarez and Paulo Dybala.
Scaloni is set to use the fixtures to prepare the reigning FIFA World Cup champions for the Copa America, which will be held in the United States from June 20 to July 14.
The Albiceleste has been drawn in Group A of the continental tournament alongside Peru, Chile and either Canada or Trinidad and Tobago.
