RIO DE JANEIRO, March 1 (Xinhua) -- Uncapped youngsters Lucas Beraldo and Savio have been included in Brazil's squad for friendlies against England and Spain later this month.

Center-back Beraldo, 20, has impressed with his performances for Paris Saint-German since his January move from Sao Paulo, while 19-year-old Savio has been a prominent figure in attack for Spain's Girona this season.

"I have no doubt that they are ready to wear our shirt," Brazil manager Dorival Junior told a news conference on Friday. "They will play a big role in these two games."

Brazil will meet England at London's Wembley Stadium on March 23 and Spain at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid three days later.

They will be Dorival's first games in charge of the five-time FIFA World Cup winners. The 61-year-old replaced Fernando Diniz in January following three straight defeats in the 2026 World Cup South American qualifiers.

The 26-man squad also includes West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta, who was recalled for the first time since reports in August last year that he was allegedly involved in illegal betting.

Real Madrid forwards Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr were named, as was Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson, Manchester United midfielder Casemiro, Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli and Tottenham striker Richarlison.

"No revamp can be radical. There needs to be a continuous change that is based in acknowledging what these players have done over the years," Dorival said.

"We will take a close look at some of these youngsters and project what they can do within two and a half years [to the next World Cup]."

Brazil will be without their all-time top scorer Neymar, who is recovering from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and torn meniscus in his left knee.

Brazil squad:

Goalkeepers: Ederson, Bento, Rafael.

Defenders: Danilo, Yan Couto, Ayrton Lucas, Wendell, Lucas Beraldo, Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhaes, Murilo.

Midfielders: Andre, Andreas Pereira, Bruno Guimaraes, Casemiro, Douglas Luiz, Joao Gomes, Lucas Paqueta, Pablo Maia.

Forwards: Endrick, Gabriel Martinelli, Raphinha, Richarlison, Rodrygo, Savio, Vinicius Jr. Enditem
