COLOMBO, March 2 (Xinhua) -- Maldivian marine police rescued 13 individuals, including 10 foreign divers and local instructors, who were adrift in the sea due to strong currents on Saturday morning.

Police said in a statement that a marine police speed boat initially spotted two individuals in distress near Gan, an uninhabited island of Southern Huvadhu Atoll.
