WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are leading in "Super Tuesday" wins in their respective party's primaries of the 2024 presidential election.

Biden, challenged by American author Marianne Williamson and Congressman Dean Phillips, has won Democratic primaries in Alabama, Massachusetts, Maine, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, Arkansas, Texas, Colorado and Minnesota, and the party's caucus in Iowa, according to U.S. media projections. MOSCOW -- Eighteen people were wounded in an explosion that rocked a Combined Heat and Power Plant in the city of Shagonar of Russia's Tuva Republic on Wednesday morning, local authorities said.

"At present, 18 people have been hospitalized. Of these, six are in critical condition. All the injured are currently being transported to hospitals in Kyzyl," Vladislav Khovalyg, head of the Tuva Republic, was quoted as saying by the TASS news agency. (Russia-Tuva-Explosion)

MONTEVIDEO -- Uruguay announced the circulation of locally-acquired cases of dengue after two indigenous cases had been confirmed, the Public Health Ministry said here Tuesday.

"In recent days we have had the news that two cases of dengue appeared that are not travel related. What we have verified is that in Uruguay we already have viral circulation of dengue," Health Minister Karina Rando said at a press conference. (Uruguay-dengue)

YANGON -- Six people were killed on the spot as a car overturned in Myanmar's eastern Shan State, an official from Shan State traffic police force told Xinhua on Wednesday.
