GENEVA, March 6 (Xinhua) -- Vietnamese gymnast Ha Vi Tran and Iranian gymnast Mahdi Ahmad Kohani were suspended by the International Testing Agency (ITA) for two years each, the ITA announced on Wednesday.

"Ha Vi Tran has been suspended for a 24-month period, effective until November 15, 2025 after testing positive for hydrochlorothiazide, chlorothiazide, amiloride and sibutramine," ITA said.

Tran's sample was collected at the 2023 Asian Championships in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on September 16.

Kohani was banned after committing three whereabouts failures within a 12-month period, ITA announced. The sanction is effective until February 21, 2026. Enditem
