MADRID, March 9 (Xinhua) -- Girona beat Osasuna 2-0 on Saturday night to move within four points of LaLiga leaders Real Madrid and to ensure they end the weekend in the second place.

Portu opened the scoring for the home team after breaking the Osasuna offside trap and beating Osasuna goalkeeper Sergio Herrera with a right-foot shot.

The home side controlled most of the game and had two goals ruled out before Savio assured the points after an excellent assist from Aleix Garcia.

A curling shot from Lamine Yamal gave FC Barcelona a 1-0 win at home over Mallorca on Friday night.

Barca were not particularly impressive against a side that defended well, with Ilkay Gundogan having a first half penalty saved, but 16-year-old Yamal was a constant threat, with a shot tipped onto the crossbar shortly before netting the only goal of the game.

Atletico Madrid crashed to a 2-0 defeat away to Cadiz, with a disastrous display five days before they play their Champions League future at home to Inter Milan.

Cadiz's last win in LaLiga was on September 1 and they had gone 23 games without a victory before Saturday's game, but deserved the win against a rival who didn't manage a shot in the first 45 minutes.

Jimenez Juanmi put Cadiz ahead in the 23rd minute after a cross from Ruben Sobrino and the striker doubled the lead after Gabriel Paulista made a mess of a long ball from the Cadiz defense, which allowed Juanmi to beat goalkeeper Jan Oblak with his right foot.

Late goals from Robin Le Normand and Andre Silva saw Real Sociedad come back to win 3-2 in Granada to end a horrible two weeks which have seen them knocked out of the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.

The side from San Sebastian twice came back from behind after goals from Myrto Uzuni, with Umar Sadiq leveling for the first time after 32 minutes and Le Normand making it 2-2 with 11 minutes left to play, before Silva's winning goal was given as valid after a long VAR check for offside.

The result could well see Alexander Medina sacked as Granada coach after he ordered his side to sit and defend when 2-1 ahead after an excellent first 50 minutes.

A combination of Hugo Duro's 40th minute goal and a series of impressive saves from goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili gave Valencia a 1-0 win at home over Getafe.

Getafe had chances to take a point, but the Georgian international keeper made it a disappointing return for Getafe coach Pepe Bordalas to the Mestalla Stadium where he spent a season in the dugout. Enditem
