TEHRAN -- At least one person was killed, and 11 others, including two firefighters, were wounded in a fireworks explosion in Iran's capital Tehran on Sunday, the Iranian Students' News Agency reported.

The incident took place near Tehran's Grand Bazaar, following which firefighters were immediately sent to the scene, Jalal Maleki, spokesman of the Tehran Fire Department, was quoted as saying. (Iran-Fireworks Blast-Deaths)

LISBON -- Portugal's Democratic Alliance, led by the Social Democratic Party (PSD), stood out as the winner in the parliamentary elections on Sunday with a relative majority, exit polls show.
