SINGAPORE -- Singapore's Keppel and Japan's Mitsui Fudosan will jointly explore data center development and investment opportunities in Japan and Southeast Asia, a statement released by Keppel said Monday.
The Keppel Data Center Fund II, the second data center private fund managed by Keppel, will work with Mitsui Fudosan to acquire a data center of more than 27,800 sqm in western Tokyo, according to a framework agreement between the two entities. (Singapore-Economy-Data Center)

BRUSSELS -- Eurozone finance ministers agreed Monday that a slight fiscal contraction in 2025 is "appropriate," given the current macroeconomic outlook, the need to continue to enhance fiscal sustainability and to support the ongoing disinflationary process.

COLOMBO -- Sri Lanka will certify four areas as Blue Flag beaches for the first time before the end of the year to boost tourism, state media reported on Tuesday.
Quoting a spokesperson for the Marine Environmental Protection Authority (MEPA), Daily News reported that Unawatuna and Bentota in the south, and Arugambay and Pasikuda in the east are beaches that will become internationally accredited Blue Flag beaches. (Sri Lanka-Beach-Tourism)

HANOI -- The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has proposed a zero value-added tax (VAT) rate be maintained for exported services, over worries that tax hikes would undermine the competitiveness of Vietnamese providers against foreign rivals, local newspaper Vietnam News reported Tuesday.
