TUNIS, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian President Kais Saied decided on Tuesday to end the duties of minister of transport and minister of culture, according to a statement issued by the Presidency.

Saied has removed Rabie Majidi, the transport minister, and appointed Minister of Equipment and Housing Sarra Zaafrani Zanzri to temporarily oversee the ministry.

The president also sacked Hayat Guermazi, the Tunisian culture minister, and appointed Tunisian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Moncef Boukthir to temporarily manage the affairs of the ministry.

The statement did not specify the reason for the dismissal. Enditem
