ANKARA, March 14 (Xinhua) -- A plane of the Turkish Stars, the aerobatic demonstration team of the Turkish Air Force, crashed in Türkiye's central province of Konya on Thursday, killing a military personnel, the Turkish broadcaster NTV reported.

The pilot managed to eject before the crash, which occurred during the aircraft's landing, and was subsequently taken to the hospital for medical treatment, NTV said.

Vahdettin Ozkan, the governor of Konya, told the broadcaster that the NF-5 training aircraft crashed in the air base. A military personnel, who was working at a construction site in the base, was killed during the incident, he added. Enditem
