MOSCOW -- One person has died and another four have been injured following a fire on a fishing vessel near Kaliningrad in Russia, said local authorities on Tuesday.

A fire broke out aboard the "Captain Lobanov" trawler near Russia's Kaliningrad region, local media reported, citing Dmitry Lyskov, the press secretary of the local governor. (Russia-Vessel Fire)

MADRID -- Six people were killed and three others seriously injured when a lorry rammed into several vehicles at a police stop on the AP-4 highway close to the southern Spanish city of Seville in the early hours of Tuesday.

The incident happened at around 4:30 a.m. local time (0330 GMT) when the lorry smashed into several vehicles after appearing to run out of control, the Spanish Civil Guard reported. (Spain-Traffic Accident)

NAIROBI -- At least 11 university students were killed and 42 others injured in a grisly road accident Monday along a busy highway in southern Kenya, the police confirmed Tuesday.

Voi sub-county police commander Dasala Ibrahim said the accident at Voi along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway involved a bus belonging to Kenyatta University and a truck. Ibrahim said the bus with about 60 students was heading to the coastal city of Mombasa for an academic trip when it collided with a truck in the Maungu area at around 5 p.m., local time, Monday.
