ISLAMABAD -- The Pakistani law enforcement agencies have successfully repulsed a terrorist attack on a government building in the country's southwest Gwadar district of Balochistan province on Wednesday, killing eight armed terrorists, officials said.

A group of terrorists, armed with grenades and automatic rifles, attempted to storm the Gwadar Port Authority office building, which houses several crucial offices as well as facilities for law enforcers and staff residences, Gwadar Senior Superintendent of Police Zohaib Mohsin told Xinhua. JAKARTA -- Two on-duty police officers in the eastern Indonesian province of Central Papua died on Wednesday in an ambush by armed insurgents, a police officer told local media.

JUBA -- At least 15 people including two senior officials were killed Tuesday in a road ambush by suspected armed youth from Anyuak community in Jebel Boma County for Greater Pibor Administrative Area (GPAA) in South Sudan, an official confirmed Wednesday.

YANGON -- Two people died and three were injured in a car crash in eastern Myanmar, according to the Myanmar Fire Services Department on Wednesday.
