2 fire incidents take place in India as country celebrates Holi festival

NEW DELHI, March 25 (Xinhua) -- At least 13 persons received burn injuries when a fire broke out at the famous Mahakaal Temple in India's central state of Madhya Pradesh on Monday, a local official told Xinhua over the phone.

Among the injured were five temple priests offering special prayers on the occasion of the festival of color Holi, celebrated across the country during the day.

Latest media reports said the fire was brought under control. The injured were admitted to a local hospital.

The temple is situated in the Ujjain city of Madhya Pradesh.

In another incident, a fire broke out in Delhi's Alipur area. According to a senior official of the Delhi Fire Services (DFS), no casualties were reported yet.

The fire broke out inside a factory storehouse of refrigerators and clothes, said a media report. Enditem
