GENEVA, March 25 (Xinhua) -- The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced on Monday an agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products to produce a collection of official Olympic-licensed merchandise featuring famous cartoon characters.

Looney Tunes characters such as Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote and Tweety will feature in the products developed with official licensees.

These cartoon characters have already been popular among sport fans as they starred in the 1996 Space Jam and 2021 Space Jam: A New Legacy, as well as the product collection featuring Team USA that debuted during the 1996 Olympic Games.

"The agreement forms part of the IOC's global licensing program - a direct result of Olympic Agenda 2020+5 - which aims to strengthen and promote the Olympic brand, not only during the Olympic Games, but between the Games as well," the IOC announced.

These merchandise will form part of the Olympic Collection, including apparel, toys and games, bags, stationery items and sports equipment, with art and design elements from previous Olympic Games. Enditem
